Then the Lord asked him, "What is that in your hand?" "A shepherd's staff," Moses replied.
Exodus 4:2
Elisha
said, "I wonder how I can be of help. Tell me, what do you have in your
house?" "Nothing," she said. "Well, I do have a little oil."
2 Kings 4:2
Hello friends, How are you today? Are you developing capacity?
I
mean, is there something you have been doing that you are now doing on a larger
scale? You know what; you don't have to look too far.
I
realized that there is a connection between what you do and the level to which
you succeed in life. But most times we are busy looking for what does not
exist.
Today,
I want to suggest; use what you have.
The
lack of employment makes people put up with any job that comes by. But I
advise, whatever the case may be, do something with the gift God has given you.
Do
not look too far for what God will use to give you a financial breakthrough. It
is already around you.
If you have a tendency to despair over lost opportunities or if you
worry about the future, ask yourself this question: “What is right in
front of me?” In other words, what circumstances and relationships are
currently available to you? This question can get your focus off a past
regret or a scary future and back to what God can do in your life.
It’s similar to the question God asked Moses at the burning bush. Moses
was troubled. Aware of his own weaknesses, he expressed fear about the
Lord’s call for him to lead Israel out of bondage. So God simply asked
Moses, “What is that in your hand?” (Ex. 4:2). The Lord shifted Moses’
attention away from his anxiety about the future and suggested he notice
what was right in front of him—a shepherd’s rod. God showed Moses that
He could use this ordinary staff to perform miracles as a sign for
unbelieving people. As Moses’ trust in God grew, so did the magnitude of
miracles God worked through His servant.
Now, let's examine our second text, Elisha asked the widow woman "...what do you have in your house? (2Kings 4:2). First of all, the woman replied with "Nothing", like some of us would reply naturally. But she added an exception which is "...i do have a little oil." This is because what she had seems like nothing, but it was all she needed to get her back on her feet.
There
are million dollar ideas around you every day. "The quality of your idea will
determine the quality of your success." -Sam Adeyemi
God
never made a failure. There is no one who has not been endowed with a special
ability from God. Develop that ability.
‘You Have What it Takes'. Examine your gifts and
talents and see how you can demonstrate them in a bigger capacity.
SEE YOU AT THE TOP!!!
