LEARN FROM SOLOMON

Image result for seek first the kingdom of god

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 -KJV

"Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met." MSG

The biography of king Solomon. The wisest man that ever lived illustrates the emptiness or vanity of earthly attainment and sensual pleasure without God or faith in his son, Jesus Christ.

It shows that no degree of human sagacity or leaning, no amount of earthly goods or riches, and no level of self –indulgence or earthly pleasure can satisfy the human soul apart from God.

Every human being craves or seeks for happiness or the goods life. But true satisfaction in life does not come from abundant material possessions, high socio-economic status,  popularity, educational attainment or worldly pleasure. It comes from knowing and serving God and Jesus Christ his son he has sent to redeem humankind .

So, to pursue all these things and forget completely about God and the eternal life he offers through his son is striving  after wind or vanity  upon vanity. Solomon learned from personal experience that it is vanity or meaningless to live only for earthly things and forget about God. He was greatly blessed by God with high position, wisdom, riches and fame. But he turned away from God because of  his excessive lust for wealth and woman or sexual satisfaction and idol worshiping(1 kings 11:9-14,23).

Friends, i admonish us today, to Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. (Matt. 6:34)

SEE YOU AT THE TOP!!!
