Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry
puts you further behind. Proverbs 21:5 - MSG
It is the dawn
of a new day Friends,
How has 2018
been for you? For me, it has been awesome with so many life changing testimonies.
I give God all the glory.
It is
Christmas Season again and families, friends, and colleagues will be gathering
but it is also a good time to plan as you would have a few days holiday.
It is a well-planned
life that lasts. I have discovered that you can plan your way out of failure,
poverty or a family problem.
Every
enterprise, whether it is the life of an individual or family or business is
built by wise planning. Every building must have a building plan before
construction commences. Dr. Robert H. Schuller said that “most people fail not
because they plan to fail but because they fail to plan.” Planning connects
your vision to your current position.
Vision is the
picture of the end-point. But you have got to be able to chart a course from
where you are, to where you are going. That is the essence of planning. It is
one thing for you to see the picture of the end-point, but you have just got to
be able to find out how to get there, else you will get lost in-between. And
a whole lot of people are lost in-between. For you, the end-point or picture
may be a house, a five-bedroom duplex, a wonderful company, and a successful
business/conglomerate. That is fantastic! But without a plan, if you start
construction you will end up in confusion and frustration. That is inevitable!
That’s why the scripture uses this illustration too, it says “Is there anyone here who,
planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so
you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and
then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by
will poke fun at you: ‘He started something he couldn’t finish.” Luke 14:28-30
Remember, it
is in a plan that you succeed or fail.
Someone said,
if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail. If your plan does not work
out initially, do not be discouraged. Success will not come without you
taking a risk. And if you have tried and failed, congratulations; you are
closer to success than those who have not tried at all.
Keep on
succeeding!
P.S. What is your
plan for this Christmas and the New Year that is approaching? How much money
are you going to make. How much are you going to spend? How many books are you
going to read? How many people are you going to visit? Have a plan. Don’t go
spending all your savings in the name of celebrating Christmas, and blame January
for being a hard and dry month. Have a plan!
MERRY
CHRISTMAS!!!
SEE YOU AT THE
TOP!
